Abstraction: Build a brand from the ground up, create a concept that is not only interesting to me personally, but has been completely constructed and designed.

Concept: I created Saturnine Music Festival. Saturnine is a celebration of grunge and rock music, taking place in Seattle, WA. Saturnine is a love letter to the genre and those who enjoy it. The name Saturnine itself honors the alternative style of life, meaning gloomy, mysterious, or dark in manner. To authentically represent grunge and DIY culture, I created a handwritten font as well as found all of my images by searching through thrifted National Geographic magazines. All of the stage signs were also drawn by hand and scanned in to truly encapsulate not just grunge music, but grunge lifestyle.
